Bubba Watson celebrated Masters win at Waffle House because he’s Bubba (pic)

Bubba Watson, the good old Southern boy that he is, of course celebrated winning his second green jacket in three years by patronizing arguably the most distinctly stereotypical of Southern dive eateries: Waffle House.

Following the touching moment when Bubba was greeted by his son Caleb (above) just off the 18th green at Augusta National, followed by the pomp and circumstance that goes along with the presentation of a Masters green jacket, Bubba and his wife Angie, along with a couple of pals, it seems, grabbed a booth at a nearby Waffle House. Bubba’s tweet made it clear that he was particularly interested in noting that he had the hash browns … covered, of course.

But why not smothered, Bubba? Why not smothered? Why not “chunked” (with diced ham), “diced” (with diced tomatoes), “peppered” (with jalapeño peppers), “capped” (with mushrooms), “topped” (with chili) or “all the way,” Bubba? Come on, man. You just won the freaking Masters. Live a little!

Before hitting up “The House,” the always emotional (remember when he won the Masters the first time around?) and gracious Watson took to Twitter to thank all his fans and supporters.

Also worth noting: Watson retweeted a photo on Saturday originally posted by @BriggsBerry, who in it is proudly displaying a Masters flag autographed by Bubba himself from his hospital bed.

The two apparently originally met at Torrey Pines before the young man’s heart transplant.

That Bubba. Class act all the way around.
