Tim Clark chunks chip, watches as ball rolls back to his feet at Masters (GIF)
The rolling hills that permeate the majestic grounds of Augusta National Golf Club can prove to be a treacherous detail that can go unnoticed on television during Masters broadcasts. Despite this, the varying heights and drastically changing heights and ebbs and flows of the grounds nevertheless can present a formidable challenge to players, as Tim Clark learned all too well during his first round on Thursday.
Attempting to bump one up on to the green at the 6th hole, Clark somewhat chunked his shot and didn’t advance it as far up the ridge as he hoped. This caused the ball to catch the upslope of the ridge surrounding the green and Clark was helpless as the ball rolled right back to where it started. Great googly moogly.
Clark finished up the sixth with a double-bogey and already was sitting at five-over for the tournament.
