Longtime Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson passed away at his home on Tuesday at the age of 95 with his wife and daughters by his side. Wilson, elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009, one of the founding members of the AFL and the only owner the Bills have ever known, overseeing the franchise since its inception in 1959, is such a revered figure in Buffalo that the stadium in which the Bills play is named after him in his honor.
On Tuesday night, the Bills honored his passing and mourned the loss of its leader by leaving one light on in Ralph Wilson Stadium, a solemn tribute to a man whose light guided the franchise for 55 years.
