Kentucky Wildcats fan shows crazy faith, gets ‘2014 National Champs’ tattoo (pic)
The Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team have had an off-year — by their lofty standards — this season, going 22-9 overall and 12-6 in the SEC. Some may take that as a sign that the prospects of the John Calipari-led squad making a run to another National Championship as remote at best, never going to happen at worst.
One arguably overly devoted member of Big Blue Nation, however, put some skin in the game — literally — to state his undying faith in the program to not only make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament but win it all.
Yep, he got a 2014 National Champions tattoo. He even replaced the “o” in “National” with a “9” — to represent that this would be Kentucky’s ninth national title.
A bold man. But hey, it worked out for this Seattle Seahawks fan, who got a Super Bowl champs tattoo before the season even began. Why not this guy?
The fan tweeted, “People are gonna hate, but I still got faith.” And yet, his wisdom should nevertheless be questioned. Especially during such a down year for the Wildcats.
