Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson makes cameo on ‘The Young and The Restless’ (photo)
Like most boys into football, when Seattle Sehawks fullback Michael Robinson was a kid, he dreamed of one day playing in the National Football League and winning a Super Bowl … and then parlaying that fame and success into a cameo appearance on a daytime soap opera.
Well, maybe that wasn’t the case for Robinson — and probably any other wee lad for that matter — but Robinson nevertheless will be making a cameo appearance on long-running soap “The Young and The Restless.”
“It was an amazing experience! I’ve been a fan for years, and it was great to meet the personalities on the show,” Robinson said, according to a news release (via Sporting News). “I’ve always thought Y&R was the best show on daytime television because their storylines are always entertaining and intriguing. They welcomed me with open arms, and I felt like a part of the Y&R family.”
There you have it, kids. Dream big and one day, you might turn a pro football playing career and a Super Bowl championship into a bit appearance on some soap opera. Reach for the stars!
On a personal note, while not admitting that I had dreams as a youngster about turning gridiron glory into a soap opera cameo, if I had, I would have opted for “Days of our Lives.” Patch and Kayla all the way!
Oh, I mean, uh, nothing. Move along.
The episode in which Robinson appears will air on Thursday, March 13.
