Opening Ceremony at Sochi Olympics had a minor rings malfunction (GIF)
During the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, a slight malfunction occurred, surprising no one.
Better than a major wardrobe malfunction, I guess.
Towards the beginning of the ceremonies inside Fisht Stadium, snowflakes were supposed to transform into the Olympic rings. Four of the five made the transition, but that darned last one? Not so much.
Hey, if we were talking about dentists, four of five would be a ringing endorsement for Trident gum, right?
This is what the Olympic rings were supposed to look at the end:

That would have been pretty, but alas… There’s worse things, I suppose. Like one of those stray dogs — a hot button topic of these Games — interrupting the Opening Ceremony…

Oh. Oops. Someone — or many someones — are getting a one-way ticket to Siberia courtesy of Vladimir Putin, right?
