Bosom Buddies: LeBron James makes Instagram collage for Dwyane Wade on his birthday (photo)

Dwyane Wade is celebrating his 32nd birthday on Friday, and to commemorate the occasion, LeBron James did some Instragram scrapbooking to pay tribute to his Miami Heat teammate.

Not only did LeBron put together a wonderful collage of the two featuring images from some of the dynamic duo’s most momentous moments, he also penned a heartfelt message for his bosom buddy:

Happy Bday to my running mate, homie, brother, and most of all straight up friend! The friendship we’ve created our rookie year at pre draft camp was pure and that’s why we stuck together from that point on! Obviously didn’t know we would eventually become teammates and do the things we’ve done so far. I came to Miami for 2 reasons. To play with U and to win championships and I can’t thank u enough for the sacrifice you’ve made since I arrived homie! No matter what happens in the future we stuck together like brothers for life. And no matter what they say, u still a BAD Mutha-Shut-Yo-Mouth out there on that court! @dwyanewade. Oh almost forgot u old as dirt! Boy you look 40. Hahaha! #TreyBallBDay #YouASuckaOnYoBDay

Most folks who read the message undoubtedly will glom on to the slightly cryptic passage “No matter what happens in the future” which seems to indicate that LeBron has doubts about just how long the two will remain teammates, with James having an option to become a free agent this summer following the season. But that’s a discussion for another time. Instead, let LeBron and D-Wade have their moment. A birthday comes but once a year, and LeBron clearly loves his pal.

But as far as the “Bosom Buddies” reference is concerned, which one is Tom Hanks and which one is Peter Scolari? You young whippersnappers probably have no idea what I’m talking about, but look it up and I’ll leave you with this: Neither D-Wade nor LeBron would look as fabulous portraying cross-dressers as the above-mentioned actors. It’s a simple fact.
