13-year-old drains full-court shot to win game, makes shot again in front of news crew (videos)
Who says lightning doesn’t strike twice? Easton Gamoke, a 13-year-old playing traveling basketball for the Winona (Minn.) YMCA Runnin’ Rebels, made a shot for the ages during a game at a tournament in Holmen, Wis.
With time running out in overtime and the game tied, Gamoke threw up a prayer from almost the opposite baseline. And wouldn’t you know it? It went in. Ballgame.
Video of the shot attracted some regional attention, so the Twin Cities’ FOX 9 sent out a reporter and camera crew to do a story on the middle school student.
And wouldn’t you know it (again)? When recreating the infamous shot for the camera crew, Gamoke drained it again.
