Lakers forward Shawne Williams on Nets coach Jason Kidd’s drink spill: ‘F–k Jason’ (video)
One could have reasonably expected that once Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd not only admitted that he spilled his drink on purpose during the waning moments of last week’s 99-94 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers along with the NBA fining him $50,00 for his ill-conceived gambit that the story would be as good as done. Anyone who did, however, did not count on TMZ stoking the ashes and perhaps reigniting the story once again.
TMZ cameramen caught up with Lakers forward Shawne Williams on the street and asked him how he felt about Kidd pulling such a silly stunt.
Williams didn’t hold back, saying to the camera, “F–k Jason.”
Williams, who played with Kidd when both played for the Dallas Mavericks in 2008-09 expanded on his f-bomb critique, via the New York Post:
“Jason Kidd, he do his thing, we still won,” Williams said. “It is what it is. We won, he cheated, he tried to do what he had to do, we still got the win.
“Whatever it takes to win, I respect it.”
There you have. Screw that guy, but I’ll respect him for cheating. Got it.
