For Thursday’s episode of ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption,” co-hosts Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon dressed up as the sports power couple du jour, Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods. Kornheiser was Lindsey and Wilbon was Woods, and as you can see with your own eyes, Tony K. absolutely killed it with his cross-dressing impersonation of Miss Vonn (although he doesn’t come off quite as attractive as the Olympic hero).
Vonn herself took notice of the costume mimicry and appeared quite flattered and humored by the Halloween get-ups, tweeting about how much she loved it.
One question: Is Wilbon as courteous to Kornheiser as Woods is to Vonn with his bathroom habits, namely not leaving the seat up after he takes a leak? That would imply that Kornheiser pees seating down, something I really don’t care to know, but reluctantly acknowledge is a strong possibility.
The PTI boys weren’t the only celebrity “talk show” hosts to dress up as Tiger and Lindsey for Halloween, either.
Vonn posted an Instagram pic that shows Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan also went the Tiger and Lindsey costume route:
I like Tony and Michael’s version better. It’s probably due to the gender-bending of Kornheiser. Duh.
And in case anyone is wondering, Vonn’s Halloween wasn’t filled with costumed revelry and hijinks. Nope. Instead, she was training — as usual — as she nears a complete and total comeback from knee surgery and prepares for Sochi.
That doesn’t look like much fun.
