Rays outfielder Wil Myers hit a 444-foot bomb at Target Field (video)
During the fourth inning of Sunday’s 6-4 loss to the Minnesota Twins at Target Field, Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Wil Myers absolutely unloaded on a Pedro Hernandez offering, depositing the pitch in the second deck in above the bullpens in left-center field for a mammoth two-run homer
“When that left, that was zero gravity,” said Rays manager Joe Maddon, who referred to the bomb as the longest homer he’s seen all year. “I mean, that was properly struck.”
ESPN Home Run Tracker lists Myers’ round-tripper as traveling an estimated 444 feet. Yeah, that’s pretty far.
