Ana Ivanovic makes awkward Twitter debut, makes up for it with cute photo (pic)
Ana Ivanovic apparently was one of the last holdouts of the crème de la crème of the WTA Tour to have not yet joined the Twitter revolution. In fact, The New York Times’ Ben Rothenberg pointed out in a tweet that only Samantha Stosur and Na Li remain of players in the top 20 without official Twitter accounts.
And even though Ivanovic’s debut tweet left a lot to be desired, the 25-yer-old Serbian stunner more than made up for it after deleting the original one and replacing it with an adorable photo of herself.
No, not the photo above. There’s nothing adorable about that pic — that’s straight-up, alluring and sexified hotness. It’s a cute photo, remember?
Here’s how Ivanovic made her first splash on Twitter:
Not trying to be crass, but doesn’t her Twitter handle look like it reads “Analvanovic”? That’s unfortunate. Kinda like when someone is both an analyst and a therapist and tries to meld those two words together. But you know, different.
Anyway, as mentioned above, that was taken down. And below is the one that replaced it:
Hey guys, nice to join you! 🙂 pic.twitter.com/QJgd8idFOs

As For the Win notes, several tennis stars kindly welcomed Miss Ivanovic to the Twittersphere, including Rafael Nadal, whose greeting was about as awkward as Ivanonvic’s original debut tweet:
@anaivanovic welcome to this mean of communication. Looking forward to exchanging tweets with you.

To be fair, English is Rafa’s second language. Let’s cut him some slack.
Best of luck to Ana in the upcoming U.S. Open, where she is seeded at No. 13. And keep those tweets coming, Miss Ivanovic.
As I suggested, adorable.
