Brandt Snedeker makes good on promise, buys Hunter Mahan’s baby a gift (pic)

Hunter Mahan and his wife Kandi recently experienced the joys of welcoming their first child into the world.

The timing of Zoe’s birth caused some frantic moments for the Mahans, as Hunter was competing in the RBC Canadian Open and holding the lead when he learned that Kandi had gone into labor. The soon-to-be new dad was forced to leave the tournament and race home to be by his wife’s side in the delivery room.

The biggest benefactor of the timing of Zoe’s birth was Mahan’s PGA Tour-playing colleague Brandt Snedeker, who took advantage of Hunter’s understandable departure to win the tournament.

Following his win, Snedeker said, “Zoe will be getting a very nice baby gift from me.” And now, Snedeker has made good on his promise.

Snedeker’s wife Mandy posted the below photo to her Twitter account along with the message, “It’s no college tuition but @BrandtSnedeker and I got this made for Zoe – so happy for @HunterMahanand@KandiMahan.”

Aww. How cute.

The college tuition reference was made in regards to an apparent joke between the couples about what Snedeker should give Zoe in light of his big tourney win. Of course, that was a joke. And quite frankly, it’s fairly certain that little Zoe won’t be hurting for tuition funds once she reaches college age. Yeah, golfers make a lot of money and stuff.

And in the slim-to-none chance that money is a little tight for the Mahans in the future, perhaps Hunter can pawn off this gold putter he received from Ping to commemorate Zoe’s birth:

Now that’s a fancy putter.
