Tiger Woods hits approach shot within a foot of the cup at PGA Championship (GIF)
While it took a few holes to get going, Tiger Woods got his first round of the PGA Championship off to a good start on the par-5 13th hole at Oak Hill.
Starting on the back nine, Tiger started off with three pars and then laid up on the par-5 13th. From 155 yards out, Woods stuck his approach shot just to the right of the pin before the ball eased back to within one-foot of the hole.
Of course, Tiger drained the short putt for his first birdie of the day.
At the time of the publishing of this post and after birdieing the par-3 15th hole, Tiger is sitting in a five-way tie for fourth place, one shot back of co-leaders Robert Garrigus (who made some noise at the last major with an absolute bomb of a putt at the British Open), David Hearn and Rickie Fowler.
For Fowler, it looks like his trippy, psychedelic preparation is paying off early on.
