Lindsey Vonn proclaims Tiger Woods greatest of all time following big win

By finishing with an even-par on Sunday, Tiger Woods continued his mastery of Bridgestone by winning for the eighth time at the course. He did so by decimating the field, never once feeling any pressure from his fellow competitors after notching a brilliant 61 on Friday in the second round, eventually winning by seven strokes.

It was Tiger’s 79th PGA Tour victory, only three short of Sam Snead’s record 82 wins. And with the PGA Championship this week at Oak Hill, Woods once again is considered the favorite at a major. How Tiger’s weekend pans out, however, is another story, as he has been tabbed as the favorite in every major thus far this year and has failed to hoist a trophy or don a green jacket on a Sunday.

Nevertheless, there is one person who feels that irrespective of how well or poorly Tiger finishes this week at Oak Hill — or the balance of his career for that matter — he’s already the greatest golfer of all-time:

His girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn.

Vonn took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon following her boyfriend’s masterful performance to gloat a bit and proclaim Tiger the “GOAT,” or “Greatest of All Time,” for the layperson not hip to the witty acronym jive (via @lindseyvonn):

The power couple certainly appear to be going strong, perhaps even surprising many who doubted that a romance between the two would ever to amount to anything resembling a serious, long-term relationship.

But ever since their relationship became a matter of public record, Vonn has continuously been by Tiger’s side, proclaiming that the two click because they are similar and never is reluctant to sing his praises. It sure looks like it is the real deal between these two athletic powerhouses.
