Bryce Harper makes nifty diving catch to record first out of Thursday matinee (vid)

In the top of the 1st inning of Thursday’s getaway matinee game between the Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Pirates at National Park, outfielder Bryce Harper, who sat out Wednesday’s game with a wonky knee, was tested early and passed with flying colors by making a fantastic catch in the gap to record the first out of the game and steal extra bases away from Pirates left fielder Starling Marte.

Nice grab, and a far better outcome than the last time Harper graced the Sportress of Blogitude related to a play that occurred while Harper was patrolling the outfield.

You know, because he got up right away. Which is good.
