Behold, memorabilia enthusiasts: The Bryce Harper Bobblehead (photo)

Everybody loves when MLB teams hold bobblehead giveaways. On Sunday, the Washington Nationals will host the Colorado Rockies for an afternoon ballgame on Father’s Day. The first 15,000 fans through the gate at Nationals Park will be the lucky recipients of the above bobblehead version of the team’s dynamic and young superstar, Bryce Harper.

Above is the Mini-Bryce Harper Bobblehead the Harrisburg Senators — the team’s Double-A affiliate — gave out last week. Below is the version Nationals fans will be able to get their hands on this weekend.

With Harper on the disabled list with a wonky knee — along with this photo of the Nationals outfielder sporting a pretty bulky knee brace from earlier this week — chances are essentially nonexistent that Harper will take the field on his Bobblehead Day. But the news is good on the injury front, as Harper reportedly could resume baseball activities within a week if the swelling in his knee subsides.

So fret not, Nationals fans, before you know it, your beloved Bryce Harper will be back sooner rather than later.

Also, to both Nationals fans who aren’t one of the first 15,000 fans at the ballpark Sunday as well as general memorabilia enthusiasts: You needn’t fret, either, as odds are Bryce Harper Bobbleheads will likely be able to be had for the right price on eBay soon enough, probably before the conclusion of Sunday’s ballgame.
