Jim Harbaugh attends ‘Judge Judy’ taping, seems to enjoy himself (video)
The day-to-day grind of the NFL calendar doesn’t allow for much downtime for head coaches, but San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh managed to sneak away from his time-consuming duties to attend a taping of an episode of “Judge Judy” recently.
Harbaugh, along with his father Jack, sat in the courtroom as the straight-shooting, no-nonsense Judith Sheindlin meting out her unique brand of televised courtroom justice.
During the NFL Scouting Combine, Harbaugh, an apparent big fan of the show, showed off his affinity for Judge Judy by telling reporters, “When you lie in Judge Judy’s courtroom, it’s over,” adding, “Your credibility is completely lost. You have no chance of winning that case.”
And how. Here’s Harbaugh and his father marveling at Judge Judy’s ability to dispense wisdom in her typical, no-nonsense manner in an episode that aired on June 3:
Harbaugh also had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Sheindlin while on set, something I am sure he was thrilled to experience.
No word on whether or not Harbaugh intends to bring in Judge Judy to training camp. Not as a motivational speaker — although that would work, too — but to lead drills. Something about that cranky lady leads one to believe that she could teach NFL players a thing or two about the ability to intimidate and execute.
