Padres sideline reporter Kelly Crull soaked in Powerade shower (video)
On Wednesday night, the San Diego Padres beat the Seattle Mariners in an extra inning thriller, winning by a score of 3-2 courtesy of Will Venable’s single with the bases loaded in the bottom of 10th inning.
Somehow, something that occurred following the conclusion of the game eluded our attention on Thursday, but if there’s video of a comely sideline reporter getting doused during a player’s Gatorade — or in this instance, Powerade — shower, dag gummit, someone is going to take notice and it’s always better late than never to highlight just what happened.
As Venable was being interviewed postgame regarding his extra inning heroics, the Padres sideline reporter, the lovely Kelly Crull, was in the wrong place at the wrong time when Yonder Alonso came out of nowhere and doused his teammate with Powerade.
Yep, Crull got soaked, too.
Man, she really got drenched. Almost as bad as Washington Nationals sideline reporter Julie Alexandria did during a Gio Gonzalez Gatorade bath.
But, as is often the case in these kind of situations, Crull handled the situation with aplomb and professionalism, continuing her interview as if nothing happened.
Crull did, however, tweet an image depicting the staining aftermath of the Powerade shower:
Who knows of a good 24 hour dry cleaning service in San Diego? I’m in desperate need…this is not working. Help! twitter.com/kcru11/status/…

Poor gal. Those sideline reporters should be outfitted with rain gear or something after huge wins. Then again, it wouldn’t be as amusing for us, huh?
