Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant has stepped up in significant way by offering monetary relief to those affected by the tragic tornado that swept through Oklahoma on Monday.
Durant has pledged $1 million to the Red Cross to assist in recovery efforts as many of the region’s citizens, most notably in the town of Moore, a suburb of Oklahoma City, attempt to pick up the pieces after an EF4 tore through the region. At least 24 residents of Moore are believed to have perished in the tragedy and many, many, many more lost their homes and essentially everything they owned.
Kudos to Durant for stepping up big time in Oklahoma’s time of need. And it merits noting that the Red Cross announced the donation, not Kevin Durant.
