Bubba Watson jokes about prospects of beating Tiger Woods at the Masters (video)

With the attention of the entire golf world set to descend upon the idyllic setting of Augusta National for the Masters next week, Bubba Watson, who won last year’s tournament in dramatic and emotional fashion, already is ensuring that we don’t forget his name amid all the attention presently being paid to the current reigning #1 player in the world, Tiger Woods.

First, it was his golf cart hovercraft video that ignited an Internet firestorm on Tuesday, now Mr. Bubba Watson gets in the best line so far heading into golf’s premiere and most esteemed major.

Appearing on Piers Morgan’s program on CNN on Tuesday evening, Watson was asked about the prospects of actually beating the suddenly red-hot Tiger Woods at Augusta. Bubba, was asked point-blank by Morgan: “How are you going to beat him?” Displaying his self-deprecating sense of humor and homespun wisdom that can belie his talents on the golf course, wittingly replied in nearly deadpan fashion, “Hopefully he gets sick.”

Awesome. Score another one for Bubba. This guy has been on a tear ever since he and the Golf Boys unleashed their sweet, sweet musical stylings upon the world.
