PGA Golf

Hey kiddos, if you ain’t #Dufnering like Jason Dufner, you ain’t hip (pics)

#Dufnering, it’s hip, it’s happening, it’s now! On Thursday, a photo of PGA golfer Jason Dufner appearing less-than-enthused about spending some time with some kids for a charity in Dallas, Tex., surfaced on Deadspin.

Dufner looked positively miserable at the Salesmanship Youth and Family Centers as part of the buildup to the 2013 Byron Nelson Classic in Irving, a tournament which Dufner won in 2012. So, think of him as a goodwill ambassador, if you will, spreading joy and dispensing wisdom to children in need, all the while slumping haggardly against a wall, while seemingly feeling miles and miles and miles away in a malaise of despair.

Of course, once the hilarious photo began making the rounds around the interwebs, some of Dufner’s PGA cohorts caught wind of it and began tweeting images of themselves doing a little #Dufnering of their own.

Keegan Bradley may have gotten it all started:

But then, several of the PGA’s best and brightest got in on the act as they started to mimic the move on their own. Here’s Rory McIlroy:

  Luke Donald, #Dufnering:

And then Bubba Watson showed of his #Dufnering skills while leaning against his General Lee:

Good stuff. I imagine more will follow, perhaps even Tiger Woods will get in on the action. Hey, it’s possible…

UPDATE: Mr. Jason Dufner, now fully aware of the craze he has initiated, did a little #Dufnering of his own in the Auburn University — his alma mater — weight room:
