Sixers guard Royal Ivey falls into crowd, fan seated courtside soaked in wine (video)
During the tilt between the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday evening, one lucky fan seated courtside received an up-close and personal visit from Sixers guard Royal Ivey.
Due to the hustle by Ivey (whose name evokes the notion that it also could be the nickname bestowed on a promiscuous gal who seduces employees of Renaissance Festivals) ending up in the seats while making an effort to save a ball from going out of bounds, said lucky fan wasn’t actually very lucky, because Mr. Royal Ivey’s momentum propelled him straight into the fan, who happened to be holding a glass of wine at the time. Even worse, it was red wine. Not good

Eric Burdon & War approve of this wine spillage.
I could argue that Ivey really made a “splash” with his all-out effort, as that would be “vintage” pun work on my behalf, correct? Alright, alright, I’ll put a “cork” in it.
Unfortunate situation, to be sure, but hopefully, some Wells Fargo Center employee had the initiative to get that poor guy some club soda and salt. Otherwise, Ivey should be expecting a copy of a receipt from a dry cleaner in the coming days.
