Bad Idea Groping: Fan grabs at LeBron James’ headband after Heat loss (video)

Miami’s near-historic winning streak was snapped in Chicago on Wednesday night, as the Heat lost for the first time in 28 games as the undermanned Bulls outlasted LeBron James and company, winning 101-97.

A surly LeBron used a majority of his postgame comments to bemoan two hard fouls that occurred during the game and how those plays are indicative of how referees generally officiate overly physical play against him. “Those are not basketball plays and it’s been happening all year,” he said. “I’ve been able to keep my cool and try to tell Spo, `Let’s not worry about it too much,’ but it is getting to me a little bit.”

The kind of on-court aggression that King James believes is regularly allowed against him on the court and was the source of his postgame frustration also occurred as he left the floor. While making his exit off the United Center court following the loss, LeBron looked more than slightly perturbed by a display of somewhat rude behavior by a fan, who reached out and appeared to try to snatch the headband off his head.

Yeah, LeBron didn’t take too kindly to the invasion of his personal space.

Talk about a death stare. Yikes. LeBron probably wouldn’t have appreciated such an egregious affront had the Heat come out victorious and won its 28th-straight game on Wednesday night, but after a loss? Bad Idea Groping, dude.
