Houston Rockets to give out this awesome James Harden bobblehead (photo)

James Harden has made himself a new and comfortable home on the roster of the Houston Rockets after being traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder in late October. The Rockets wasted little time securing Harden for the long-term, signing the versatile and highly skilled player immediately to a four-year contract extension. The dynamic player has rewarded the Rockets, averaging 26.2 points/game while leading the team to a 35-30 record heading into Friday’s game against the Timberwolves, good enough for sole possession of the 7th seed in the Western Conference playoff race.

And while Harden hasn’t quite been greeted with the hysteria or food-based frenzy that occurred in Oklahoma City as he and the Thunder marched to the NBA Finals last season, Harden is a Rockets fan favorite. And if he does manage to lead the Rockets to the playoffs, the fervor he experienced in OKC likely will be matched in Houston.

To help kick off Houston’s hopeful march toward the playoffs with Harden leading the way, when the Rockets host the Phoenix Suns at the Toyota Center on Tuesday, April 9, the team will celebrate and pay tribute to their bearded team leader and prolific scoring machine by giving out James Harden bobblheads.

And of course, the bobblehead is resplendent with the player’s trademark beard.

Darren Rovell tweeted the following pic of the phenomenal James Harden bobblehead on Thursday:

Fantastic. That beard is boss, man.
