New Celtics player Jason Terry tries to learn Boston accent in new NOC series (vid)
On July 18, veteran guard Jason Terry signed a three-year deal with the Boston Celtics for approximately $15 million. And while getting to know his Celtics teammates throughout training camp may be paramount and the ultimate determining factor on whether or not Terry enjoys much success in Boston on the court, familiarizing himself with his new surroundings will go a long way in helping him acclimate to his new team.
In the first episode of his new NOC series, “Jason Terry is a Celtic,” the Boston neophyte roams the streets to Beantown in an attempt to ingratiate himself to the town’s residents as well as learn how to master the distinct Bostonian accent.
It’s all very entertaining — Terry seems like a great guy who Celtics fans will grow to appreciate — but the best part? When Terry is sampling some sausage from a street vendor, and the man, praising Terry for his sausage-eating skills, also touts his sausage by referring to it as “nine inches of pleasure.” Say what??? And it seems like Terry gives the guy a sideways glance immediately afterward. Gold.
