MLB players audition for ‘Expendables 3′ by doing imitations of series’ stars (video)

With The Expendables 2, the geriatric action hero vehicle, being released nationwide on Aug. 17, the folks at MLB Fan Cave decided to experiment and see how major league baseball players would fare if the producers elected to go in a different direction for the sequel to the latest installment.

Fitting titled, Expendables 3: War on the Basebaths, the film would feature MLB stars but first it would have to be determined just how well these ballplayers could imitate the stars currently headlining the series if they were to replace Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone and so on and forth. For some reason.

Anyway, it’s a real hoot.

Ha. A fine effort by all of them, but I have to say Texas Rangers pitcher Derrick Holland’s imitation of Schwarzenegger is far and above the best, especially how it de-evolves into sputtering gibberish.

Thanks, Tyler
