Tiger Woods holes out from pot bunker on 18 to close out with amazing birdie (video)
After posting a 3-under 67 on Thursday in the first round of The Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St. Annes, Tiger Woods was back at it again Friday, once again carving out another 3-under 67. But during today’s round around the links course, Tiger needed a miraculous shot to seal the deal.
Finding himself in a pot bunker after two on the 18th hole, Tiger blasted the ball out of the sand and it slowly eased its away into the hole. Birdie. Fist pump. Six-under, four back of leader Brandt Snediker heading into the weekend.
I just hope Tiger comes up with as funny a way to describe the shot as he did on Thursday with his “beating on his shaft” reference in Friday’s post-round press conference. That would be a hoot.
