Brewers player snaps photo of gal after she snaps photo of him, his family (pics)

Although he’s currently on the 60-day DL after tearing the ACL in his right knee while chasing down a foul pop fly on May 2 and may miss the entire season, Milwaukee Brewers infielder Mat Gamel at least has retained his sense of humor.

With crutches in tow, Gamel was out for dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Milwaukee when he noticed a woman attempting to sneakily — although apparently not sneakily enough — snap a photo of him and his family (above) and post it to her Facebook page. Confirming that turnabout is fair play even in this modern world, Gamel returned the favor, intruding on the woman’s privacy and snapping a photo of her and uploading it to he and his wife’s Twitter account, along with the message, “MKE local taking pictures of us while we weren’t looking… Figured we would return the gesture! ; )”:

What caused this entire humorous situation to all come together was the fact that one of Gamel’s Twitter followers also happens to be Facebook friends with the girl who snapped the original photo of the Gamel clan and was summarized in a reddit thread attached to this image, which elicited this response from the Gamels on Twitter:

Wow, what a bizarre confluence of events.

And let that be a lesson to all of those of you out there who erroneously believe that you are so clever that you can craftily and inconspicuously snap photos of celebrities and pro athletes without them noticing. Next time, they might just turn the tables on you just to see how much you like it.
