Oh yay, the Taiwanese animation treatment of Amar’e’s fire extinguisher assault (vid)
Goodie goodie gumdrops! We were all waiting with bated breath, holding out hope that NMA World Edition would tackle the controversial — and apparently quite bloody — post-game events surrounding Amar’e Stoudemire’s lame-brained, impulsive decision to take his frustrations out on a fire extinguisher following the New York Knicks’ Game 2 playoff loss to the Miami Heat.
But Tuesday passed, and sadly, not a peep from NMA World Edition. And then, Wednesday arrived and lo and behold, finally, a video! Yay!
Little needs to be added here, except to note one aspect of their treatment of the story: yes, Amar’e’s hand does get completely lopped off after the punch, separated from his body at the wrist in a grisly scene of orgiastic blood-spurting glory. Which is just what you should have expected from NMA World Edition.
Oh, and Miami players are literally on fire as they take it to New York. You know, because they are the Heat and stuff. And Carmelo’s a ball hog. But you didn’t need Taiwanese animation to inform you of that fact.
