Kevin Love spent day serving suspension handing out free stuff to fans (photo)
While his teammates were in Memphis to take on the Grizzlies without him due to his serving the back-end of the two-game suspension he received for stomping about the face and chest of Houston Rockets forward Luis Scola, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love chose to go out and spend some time with his fans as opposed to sulking over his league-mandated time out.
Tweeting Wednesday that in fifteen minutes after said tweet that he would be at the intersection of Hennepin Avenue and Lake Street in the Uptown area of Minneapolis and would be “giving away two of my 361backpacks: inside-signed hats, jerseys and more,” Love made good on his word and did in fact show up, much to the delight of those who also showed up for some Kevin Love swag, as evidenced by the photos above (via) and below (via):
Pretty cool move by a seemingly pretty cool dude. And the best part? No one’s face was stomped upon. Which is good.
