Golden State Warriors Owner Has A Little Bit Of Mark Cuban In Him (Video)
The Golden State Warriors — yes, those Golden State Warriors — upset the Miami Heat in overtime on Tuesday night by a score of 111-106 after erasing a 17-point deficit they faced late in the 3rd quarter. Things have been pretty lean for some time in the Golden State (or Oakland, as the town where the team plays its home games is commonly called) as it pertains to NBA relevance, a fact apparently not lost on owner Joe Lacob.
Lacob, sensing that his Warriors might upend the powerhouse Heat, let his freak flag fly when the cameras panned over him as he watched the game play out court side by mugging for the camera in some sort of frenetic, spastic exhibition of what I guess could be referred to as “hostile joy,” which reminded me of the over-the-top displays typically performed by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
Good for Lacob. And good for the Warriors. Enjoy these moments, in whatever way suits your mood, I guess.
