In First-Ever 3D Broadcast Of ‘SportsNation’, Michelle Beadle To Be Sawed In Three
To be honest, I really don’t know what to think about this recent press release from ESPN which announces that to commemorate SportsNation‘s first 3D broadcast, comely co-host Michelle Beadle will get sawed in not two, but three pieces by some Las Vegas magician guy.
Via ESPN Media Zone:
SportsNation will be the first ESPN studio show to air an entire episode live in 3D with a telecast from the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) taking place in Las Vegas this week. Hosts Colin Cowherd and Michelle Beadle will be joined by the UFC’s Dana White as they tackle some of the days’ sports topics Vegas-style, including the “10 Luckiest Plays of the Football Season.” To add special drama to the show, Beadle has volunteered to be sawed into three, in 3D, by Las Vegas magician Shimshi.
Now, as a big of a fan of the lovely and talented Michelle Beadle as the next guy, I question the wisdom of her involvement in this stunt, especially in light of the fact that the abrasive, arrogant and annoying Colin Howherd also will be present. Let’s face facts: if something were to go awry — and the chance of that occurring are slim to none — do we really want one of ESPN’s most loved personalities risking life and limb for some magic trick? If you ask me, Cowherd seems like a much better choice. You know, just in case.
Although I imagine, given their perceived rivalry, that Erin Andrews wholeheartedly approves of Beadle being the one getting sawed in three. She’s catty like that.
