(Video) Here’s Anderson Silva ‘Singing’ ‘Loving You’ For Burger King Ad

What. The. Hell.

Thanks to my pal Rick Chandler over at Off the Bench for directing me to this Quadruple Stacker of Nightmare Fuel: UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva lip-synching to Mini Riperton’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping 1975 smash, “Loving You.” The object of his desire? Burger King’s deliciously delectable Mega BK Stacker sandwich. Yummy. The burger, not Silva’s performance. Just wanted to make that clear.

Unbeknownst to me, apparently Anderson Silva has a bit of high talker, so I guess the fact that he is supposedly singing in an incredibly high and squeaky voice is basically lampooning that aspect of him. Ha. The commercial for ad outfit Ogilvy Brazil, has not been released in the US yet, but let’s hope it is some day soon.

But it is a pretty amusing commercial and you have to give credit to Silva for having a sense of humor about himself. Me? I’m a silky smooth baritone. You should hear me sing “Lowdown” by Boz Scaggs. It’s a thing of beauty.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I suddenly have a hankering to engage in an orgiastic feast of meat, bacon and cheese that cannot be quelled without some BK Stacker goodness. The post-meal angioplasty is optional, but highly recommended.
