Hey, Bart: Remember Dirk Nowitzki? He’s Back…In LEGO Form!
Awesome. Usually, anytime the name of an NBA player and the word “brick” are mentioned in the same sentence, it’s not a good thing, but when the brick in question is related to the construction of said basketball player using LEGOs, well, it’s pretty cool.
Uploaded earlier today by Chuck Cooperstein, the radio play-by-play announcer for the Dallas Mavericks, above you see a photo of what he refers to as “the great unveil” of LEGO-ized Dirk Nowitzki at what I have to assume is a Dallas-area LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Joining LEGO Dirk Nowitzki is a LEGO Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy. Pretty neat, although after a little searching of the internets, I have discovered that LEGO Dirk Nowitzki has been around at least for a couple of months, as there is photographic evidence of it on display in Berlin in early May. Nevertheless, it’s here in the States now so those damn Germans are just going to have to deal with it.
