Not The Finger! Vinny Lecavalier Probably Cried Himself To Sleep Last Night

Another day, another screencap of some bitter and angry fan giving some hockey player the finger. It’s an epidemic, really. Game 2 hero Vinny Lecavalier, whose nifty goal after a spectacular sequence of passes gave the Tampa Bay Lightning¬† two road wins in as many games to open up their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series against the Washington Capitals by way of a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory on Sunday afternoon.

As you can see, one disgruntled Capitals fan let it be known through primitive hand gestures just how disappointed he was having to bear witness to Vinny’s jubilation. Take that, right? Call me a cynic, but my guess is Lecavalier wasn’t sitting there after the game saying to himself, “You know what? Scoring the overtime winner was awesome, but I just can’t get the image of that guy flipping me off out of my mind. I wish I could make it up to him somehow or at the very least figure out some way to make him not want to give me the finger in the future. Now, I’m tearing up. Who knew I could be affected in this way? It hurts, man. It really hurts.”
