Jets Fans Have Taken To Degrading Their Pets In Quest To Show Support For Team
Shameful. Just shameful.
Yesterday, NJ.com asked readers to submit user photos depicting how die-hard New York Jets fans celebrated the win over the Colts last weekend. Of course, many Gang Green fans were more than happy to oblige and to our shock and horror, some J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! backers resorted to humiliating their own pets in order to display some kind of bizarre display of devotion to the team.
I mean, look at the poor cat. It looks like the damn dog from Spun, for Chrissakes. And if you think that’s bad, check out this submission, featuring “Ozzie the Ultimate Jet Fan”:
Jebus. That poor, miserable dog. He looks completely humiliated and cannot believe for all the love and devotion he shows his owners, they have reduced him to a goddamn misfit mascot. Terrible.
The only thing that’s missing while I’m looking at the photos above is having Willie Nelson’s “Always On My Mind” playing in the background like in that ASCPA commercial and a caption scrolling underneath the cat photo reading “Dyed green for its owner’s amusement. Molested by Fireman Ed and then left to die.”
And yes, I am crying like a little baby now. Damn ASCPA.
