• A 7-year-old Montana boy went sledding on New Year’s Eve. The fun stopped rather abruptly when he became impaled on a pine tree branch approximately one-inch in diameter. The branch struck his left buttock and went into his body about 6 inches. But have no fear, the kid underwent about 2 hours of surgery and should be out of the hospital in a couple of days.
