Shoulda Been You, Mercury Morris

Granted, the two never played together for the Dolphins, but when I read that Mack Lamb, a former defensive back for the team – and the first native Miamian to play for the team – had passed away at the age of 66, my thoughts, as they often do anytime Miami Dolphins teams of yesteryear are mentioned, instantly turned to that colossal douchetard Mercury Morris, the egotistical braggart who refuses to let anyone forget that the 1972 Dolphins are the only NFL team to have a perfect season. Not only was I reminded of Morris, I was reminded that sometimes, the Good Lord takes the wrong person.

No, I am not implying that I truly wish that Mercury Morris would soon shuffle off this mortal coil – it’s an old interwebs joke from a bygone era, people – although I can guarantee you without any doubt whatsoever that I was not the only person who had that morbidly inappropriate joke cross their minds.
