Bad Idea Taunts: Kevin Garnett Allegedly Calls Charlie Villanueva A ‘Cancer Patient’
If he were a real boy and not the warped creation courtesy of the twisted minds of the fellas from Kids in the Hall and portrayed by Bruce McCulloch, Cancer Boy would strongly disapprove of what supposedly transpired last night. In fact, all kidding aside, if Charlie Villanueva’s allegations are true, pretty much anyone with any sense of decency would disapprove of what the Pistons forward is accusing Kevin Garnett of saying to him during Boston’s 109-86 victory over Detroit last night.
Villanueva took to the tweets after the game to accuse KG of referring to him as a “cancer patient” during the game.
KG called me a cancer patient, I’m pissed because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he’s tossing it like it’s a joke,
Reports from around the interwebs also state that in a subsequent tweet, Villanueva challenged KG to a fight, but that tweet has apparently been taken down, but according to Pro Basketball Talk, here’s Villaneueva threat of a throwdown:
KG talks a lot of crap, he’s prob never been in a fight, I would love to get in a ring with him, I will expose him
To be honest, I don’t blame Villanueva for taking offense to Garnett’s moronic taunt, and the notorious trash-talker should realize that some lines should not be crossed, even in the no-holds barred world of on-court verbal tête-à-tête, although we shouldn’t be surprised at these kind of antics coming from Kevin Garnett, who often allows his overly-competitive, jagoff nature to come out to annoy everyone a bit too much during games, like this. And this. And (sigh) this.
After having a night to think about it and taking down his tweet challenging Garnett to a brawl, Villanueva took the high road instead and just recently tweeted the below message regarding the alleged ugly incident:
I wouldn’t even trip about that, but a cancer patient, I know way 2 many people who passed away from it, and I have a special place 4 those
Good for you, Charlie Villanueva. Don’t stoop to KG’s level.
