Every Cover From ESPN The Magazine’s New ‘The Body Issue’ In All Their Awkward Glory

Hitting newsstands today is the brand-spanking new edition of ESPN The Magazine‘s much-ballyhooed “The Body Issue” series. This is the second annual edition of the sometimes eyeball-searing issue and since I imagine that many of the readers of this here site are unable to procure their own copy of the issue due to unfortunate incidents relating to the twisted things they were caught doing to themselves in the magazine aisle of their neighborhood bookstore with one hand holding a Glamour magazine and the other hand…well, let’s just end it with that. Fill in the blanks, so to speak.

Anyhoo, courtesy of ESPN Media Zone comes high-res images of all six covers of this year’s edition of “The Body Issue.” Enjoy. But not too much. At least in public. You people should really get internet access at home and quit scaring the nice old ladies working at the public library, but that’s another discussion for another day.

Via ESPN Media Zone:

ESPN The Magazine’s “Body Issue,” on newsstands tomorrow, Oct. 8, features nearly 40 athletes from a variety of sports, including six cover athletes: Diana Taurasi, Tim Howard, Esther Vergeer, Amar’e Stoudemire, Camilo Villegas and the USA Women’s Water Polo Team. The issue is a celebration and exploration of the athletic form shown through artistic photos, insightful articles and in-depth interviews.

Note: click to enlarge photos. Also, I attempted to upload the hi-res versions of the photos, but was unsuccessful, probably because I am an idiot. If you would like to see them in that format, you can download them here.
