Doug Barron Reinstated By PGA After 1-Year Suspension, Morphs Into Ernie Els
After seeking an exemption to use propranolol, the beta-blocker, and testosterone for therapeutic purposes was originally denied, Doug Barron agreed to serve his one-year suspension. The PGA has now granted him the exemption to use testosterone for therapeutic purposes only, Barron has been reinstated by the Tour and can now play in PGA and Nationwide events.
During his time away from the game, if the above photo is any indication, the golfer has transformed himself into a spitting image of The Big Easy, Ernie Els. As you can see, Barron looked quite different when we last saw him competing and considering that Barron has never quite made his mark on the Tour and Els is currently 10th in the Official World Golf Rankings, I’d say it was an astute move. I just wonder how he did it. Probably witchcraft or something.
