LeBron James Wastes Valuable Time Discussing Braylon Edwards
Obviously, LeBron James had some time to kill yesterday, because he actually took a moment – which is far too long, in my opinion – to address the incident involving Cleveland Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards and some of LeBron’s friends. Not only did he address it, he had some critical words for the shouldn’t-even-be-showing-up-on-LeBron’s-radar Edwards, going so far as to call Edwards childish.” James had this to say to reporters after practice:
“I’ve never crossed paths with Braylon before, but it seems like there is a little jealously going on with Braylon and me and my friends. I have no idea why. I’ve never said anything to Braylon at all. I know how to handle myself as a professional athlete, and I take care of my friends and my family. It is unfortunate that some guys don’t understand that.”
Oh, snap! Did you hear that, Braylon? James knows how to handle himself – as a professional athlete. It might be wise for Edwards to address the whole “professional athlete” gig, as in actually play like one, before he moves on to the “behaving like one” aspect. Just a suggestion. But I guess it’s unlikely that Braylon will be receptive to that message since he has difficulty catching anything.
