LSUFreek Puts The Herschel Walker-Dana White Feud In Perspective

Thankfully, there are talented people around like LSUfreek. I really didn’t know how I felt (or whether I even cared) about Herschel Walker signing a deal with MMA organization Strikeforce and how UFC president Dana White mocked and ridiculed the decision. But now I know that even if I don’t care that much about it, I can still be entertained by hilarious animated .gifs about the topic. Thanks again for making me laugh, LSUfreek.

A little background, for those who are interested. If not, it’s fine to simply marvel at LSUfreek’s work. I won’t mind.

White, clearly unimpressed by Strikeforce’s signing of Walker, had this to say:

“I think it’s ridiculous,” White told MMAFanhouse writer Mike Chiappetta. “People think we’re anti-competition? We’re anti-dumb competition. Doing stupid things like this, putting a 50-year-old guy in the Octagon for the first time, and then going out there putting out press releases like it’s a big deal because you signed a 50-year-old Herschel Walker? Are you serious?

Walker, who is actually 47, addressed White’s criticisms on ESPN2’s First Take in an interview with Jay Crawford. Walker stated that he would be willing to fight White for charity and that people shouldn’t be concerned about his age. The man is a seasoned bobsledder, you know. Walker – at least one of his personalities – it’s so dang hard to get them all to agree on something  – added:

“I may be 47 in age,” Walker said, “but I’m probably 25 in fighting … People can talk about age all they want, but I don’t see too many people jumping up to compete against me. They can continue to say ‘Herschel’s 47 or 50,’ or whatever you want to say, but it ain’t like you want to step in the ring or go out on the track and compete against me. I don’t see people taking a number.”

What in the hell does “25 in fighting” even mean? Are fighting years something similar to dog years, but inverted?

You know, I would love to see Walker and White duke it out for charity. I even have one in mind: the Ronald McDonald House for People Who Really Don’t Care About MMA. We all know one person who suffers – you can give them hope.
