Terrell Owens And Rodney Harrison Engage In Childish Pissing Match

terrell-owensRodneyHarrison (Yawn) Surprise, surprise. In only took three weeks and the cracks are already beginning to show in the Terrell Owens Experiment in Buffalo. Clearly upset by not catching a ball in a game for the first time in 185 games (it last occurred in his rookie season, Terrell Owens was his typical pouty self (video after the jump) during his post-game news conference after Buffalo got thrashed by New Orleans 27-7, continually replying with the same answer over and over again.

“Just going with the plays that are called,” Owens said repeatedly to questions about his lack of involvement in the Bills’ offense. “Whether I like them or don’t, I’m just going with the plays that are called.”

Things were kicked up a notch when Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison discussed T.O. during Sunday night’s studio show on NBC. Via The Huddle:

NBC analyst Tony Dungy, the former Colts coach, acknowledged on the network that Owens’ unhappiness could become an issue.

“That’s hard to coach,” Dungy said.

Fellow NBC analyst Rodney Harrison went further, however, and reiterated that he thinks Owens is “a clown.”

“He’s more concerned with his own stats than the team’s success,” Harrison said.

Of course, Owens responded in kind to Harrison’s accusations in a calm and dignified manner – via his Twitter account.

Hey Rodney, would a clown post Bible passages on his Twitter account? Have you thought of that?

He would? Oh. Yeah, I guess Owens is a clown, but not a funny clown, like Bozo or Shakes.
