For those of you who don’t regularly read Puck Daddy- first of all, you’re making a huge mistake – secondly, Greg Wyshynski, the editor of PD, has had a running feature during the offseason called Five Reasons I Love Hockey, in which he has various people from the hockey world (journalists, bloggers, etc.) name five things why hockey is the greatest sport on the planet. It’s a must read, much like everything else on his site.

Well, lo and behold, today’s guest was none other than Carrie Milbank. If you haven’t heard of her, she is the host of The Hockey Show on NHL.com and the NHL Network, and as you can see, she is quite the attractive woman. Even better – besides the fact that she loves hockey – is that she seems like a pretty laid back, down to earth chick.Via the aforementioned Puck Daddy:

As her goofy, playful interviews with BMR and Gunaxin confirm, she can hang. (Her favorite beer: “Wells Banana Bread … it’s like dessert only you actually get better looking the more you consume, or at least the more others consume around you.”) So we were eager to find out her reasons for loving hockey, and they begin where a generation of fans’ began: with a video game controllers in her hand.

Hoo boy. Is it getting warm in here or is it just me?

Below are Ms. Millbank’s five reasons (of course, head on over to Puck Daddy to see her explanations):

  1. Blades of Steel
  2. Tradition
  3. Ice Girls
  4. Canada
  5. “The Hockey Show”

And yes, she is referring to Blades of Steel, the video game…yowsers.

And now, here are my five reasons why I love Carrie Millbank.

Now that I have shown you my five reasons, I think I need to take five minutes. You know, personal time. Excuse me.
