Perhaps It’s Time To Go “Old Yeller” On Jim Leyritz And Put The Rabid Dog Down

Proving once again that he has no understanding of the concept of what hitting rock-bottom is all about, former baseball player and professional scumbag Jim Leyritz has been arrested again, this time for domestic battery against his ex-wife.

Leyritz, 45, was charged with simple domestic battery and booked at the Broward County Main Jail.

His bond hearing is expected to be at 1:30 p.m. at the Broward County Courthouse.

Karrie Leyritz says her former husband dragged her out of bed, struck her twice and pushed her on the floor — all because of a check she wrote without his permission, according to a police report.

As you may recall, Leyritz is awaiting trial for a DUI manslaughter charges stemming from a fatal accident that occurred in 2007 when the Leyritz ran a red light in his 2006 Ford Expedition which collided with Fredia Ann Veitch’s 2000 Mitsubishi Montero, ejecting her from the car. She ultimately died later at a hospital as a result of the collision.

Unfortunately, the victim, Karrie Leyritz, isn’t making it very easy for the police to properly investigate the alleged crime by giving “totally different accounts” as to how and what occurred during the incident:

First, she said she argued with her ex-husband in the foyer, then he hit her and pushed her to the ground.

Later, she said he dragged her out of bed and rammed her against the bedroom wall.

It really shouldn’t matter whether he assaulted her in the foyer or in the bedroom, they guy is a waste of oxygen and should be locked up permanently. Why is this guy still allowed to be out on the streets? He has had his bail revoked for drinking and even has allegedly threatened to commit suicide since February of this year.

Just get rid of him already.
