Yo Mama! Mark Cuban Isn’t Afraid To Talk Smack To Kenyon Martin’s Mother
Mark Cuban admitted he got into a verbal altercation with Kenyon Martin’s mother, Lydia Moore in the wake of Mavericks’ soul-crushing 106-105 loss to the Nuggets on Saturday night in Dallas, conceding via e-mail what transpired, according to The Denver Post:
“…that when he walked off the court, a fan was screaming about the Nuggets being “thugs,” so Cuban said to Martin’s mother: “That includes your son.”
Cuban reportedly added in his e-mail that he knew Moore “because after a previous game that Denver won, she had approached him and made trash-talk-type comments.”
Ooooh, it’s so on now.
Emotions were clearly raised to a fever pitch given the controversial manner in which the game ended. Carmelo Anthony hit a three-pointer with one second left, despite the frantic attempts by the Mavericks to intentionally foul the Nuggets in the closing moments while the referees refused to blow the whistle, prompting the NBA to issue the following statement:
“At the end of the Dallas-Denver game this evening (Saturday), the officials missed an intentional foul committed by Antoine Wright on Carmelo Anthony, just prior to Anthony’s three-point basket,” stated Joel Litvin, president of league and basketball operations.
Mark Cuban wasn’t having any of it, and when, according to Brian Dyke, Martin’s agent, Cuban saw Martin’s mother with several other Nuggets fans near the entrance to the Maverick’s locker room, said “[y]our son is a punk.”
Oh snap! That Cuban is such a bad ass. He doesn’t care who your son is, and if it comes down to it, he’ll be more than happy to throw down with any woman. He doesn’t even give a shit if Mother’s Day is coming up. He’ll mess you up.
It makes you wish that the Mavericks could somehow manage to get to the NBA Finals and play the Cavaliers, although it’s unlikely considering Dallas is now down 3-0 to Denver. Could you imagine what would happen if LeBron’s mother and Cuban happened to cross paths? Cable companies could turn it into a pay-per-view event – no mace allowed.
