Maria Sharapova To Skip WTA Tournaments In Rome And Madrid
Much to the chagrin of event organizers, fans in Rome and Madrid and chronic internet masturbators the world over in need of new pics, Maria Sharapova will not compete in next week’s Italian Open or in the Madrid Open the following week as she continues to recover from a shoulder injury. Although she competed in a doubles match last month at Indian Wells, she has not played in a singles match since last August, which has caused the former number one player in the world to plummet to 64th in the WTA rankings.
With the French Open set to start in less than a month (May 25th), her decision not to appear in the next two tournaments casts doubt on whether she will be in prime physical condition to make a go of it on the clay of Roland Garros.
Come on, Maria, if you’re not going to do it for yourself, do it for the internet trolls – they need you.
