NFL insider eviscerates Ezekiel Elliott over recent conduct

Ezekiel Elliott has found himself at the center of a firestorm thanks to his conduct during a recent parade where he was caught on video pulling down a woman’s top, exposing her breast. And now one of the preeminent NFL insiders has taken the Dallas Cowboys running back to task over his troublesome antics.

Sports Illustrated’s Peter King on Wednesday morning made an appearance on San Diego’s XEPRS 1090 AM to discuss all things NFL. King spent some time eviscerating Elliottt for his conduct at last Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dallas.

Making an already bad situation much worse, Elliott remains under NFL investigation for allegations of abuse by an ex-girlfriend last year, something King mentions.

“We can all sit here and say that this woman said, ‘Hey go ahead and pull off my shirt’ or whatever,” King said, as transcribed by The Dallas Morning News. “But the fact is Ezekiel Elliott has been in trouble for possible assault of a woman. So just stay away from women in public. Period.”

King observed that if Elliott proves incapable of avoiding these kind of troubling situations, it could negatively impact his career, adding, “This kid sincerely doesn’t get it.”

King later suggested that the Cowboys ought to confront Elliott and read him the riot act.

“And I guarantee you somebody is going to do this,” King said. “And they’re going to sit him down and they’re going to say something like, ‘Do you have any idea who you are? Do you have any idea what team you’re on? Do you any idea what your past is? Do you have any idea how many eyes are looking at you every day when you’re out in public?’

“Come on. Don’t be stupid.”

Elliott undoubtedly is a tremendously talented player with a bright NFL future ahead of him. But this kind of behavior and ensuing fallout — which included one prominent women’s group demanding the NFL suspend him for “sexual assault” — could put all that potential in some serious jeopardy.
